So, let's just make sure this is very clear, OK? The congress cannot agree at the moment on a plan to extend unemployment benefits and a payroll tax cut that affects just about every middle-class family in America, so the Senate forged a two month compromise to prevent the tax cut and unemployment benefits from being cut off at the end of the year and to give them time to work out a broader, more long-term plan.
And ReTHUGlicans are most worried about the "political benefit" the White House could gain in the national dialog about taxes.
