If you're in your 30's right now, you probably don't know much about Watergate other than the fact that it's the name of a scandal that resulted in President Richard M. Nixon resigning from office in disgrace.  But what was Watergate and why is it relevant today?

So, let's just make sure this is very clear, OK?  The congress cannot agree at the moment on a plan to extend unemployment benefits and a payroll tax cut that affects just about every middle-class family in America, so the Senate forged a two month compromise to prevent the tax cut and unemployment benefits from being cut off at the end of the year and to give them time to work out a broader, more long-term plan.

And ReTHUGlicans are most worried about the "political benefit" the White House could gain in the national dialog about taxes.

Why does anyone vote for these Republican assholes?
